Agriculture is the backbone of Rural Development and country economy whereby over 80% of rural population depends on Agriculture in their livelihood. Nevertheless, these areas still face many challenges such as lack of Agro business Know-how, Resources in term of capital and genuine human resources, modern equipment, Drought due to climate change, Erosion due to overstocking and poor water and land management, loss of food crops/fruits after harvesting due to lack of storage, Processing and lack of Market whereby some people sell their crops while still standing in their fields.
Henceforth, KMT will intensively engage in improving all level of Agriculture chain line/add value namely: Production, Post harvest handling/storage, Processing, packaging and finding Domestic and International market of all Agriculture by-products: and the Organization will work together with the community to explore the limitless opportunities in each sector as such:
Mixed farming: Food and Cash Crops, Vegetable, Poultry, Fish Farming and Fruit/Forestation plantation.
Indeed, Soil Erosion and Deforestation are predominant problems now days in the Rural areas whereby people cut trees even fruit ones for cooking and making bricks for construction. However, while the whole society with the Government are struggling to overcome these situations, KMT will strive to bring in the area Environmental friendly technologies with the mutual agreement with the related government departments from Western countries:
For instance, out of Waste to produce fuel or generate Energy and make burning charcoal that will be used for cooking instead of wood and the new technology for building without using the conventional bricks that will save the environment.
Above all, KMT will encourage the rural population to Establish Indigenous Plants ( Endangered species) Nursery/Plantation and at the same time to improve local fruits production. Indeed, KMT will emphasize to abide principles of Sustainable Agriculture with the goal of increasing the agro-products yields (Organic ones) with their limited land while overcoming social and ecological challenges: such as hygiene & Malnutrition, Alcoholism/criminals, poor students’ academic performance, discourage rural to Urban migration by creating jobs and conducive living environment and high living conditions/standard in the rural areas.
The bottom line, KMT will strive to transform the conventional traditional subsistence farming into modern sustainable Agriculture that will become one of an ideal solution for the above mentioned challenges and the rural areas to become the food bucket to the urban population and have strong food security and country economy.
